Most of what I found was from 2-3 years ago... We looked into it and in the recent past maronda hadn't had a huge number of complaints compared with anyone else. We had the same concerns before we started as you are now. > Do you know > anyone else who's had a Maronda home built? Not personally, no. I did stop and talk with two people in the neighborhood when we were considering it. Both people were happy and had nothing negative to say. > How have you been treated so far, as a customer? I think we've been treated well so far. Ken (the maronda sales rep we dealt with) has gone out of his way to make time for us and to answer our questions. He wasn't pushy and let us take stuff at our own pace. He's been a good conduit when the building supervisor is away from his phone. > How would you rate your > overall experience so far? Whenever a house is built, no matter who does it, there are things that are going to need to be corrected. It's unavoidable. So far I think this has been a fairly average house building scenario. Ken has made sure that things we've brought up aren't overlooked. > Are you still happy that you chose them? Yes, we got a good size home in a nice area for a price we can afford. > Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and hopefully > responding to it. May God bless you in the rest of your building > process! I just wish that I knew more about the house building process. I know there are things that I've asked the builders to address that I later found out that they knew about... and would be corrected normally later on. The biggest thing to remember when building a house is to have an inspector go through it a few times during construction. There is a link to Able Inspecting on my web page and I'd gladly recommend him. An inspector will catch the stuff that you'd never think of looking at. Also, if you don't have a maronda contact, I'd recommend Ken and his assistant as well. He works Sat-Weds 10a-7p and on appointment. Ken has taken a lot of time for us and made it as painless as possible. I have a lot of stuff going on all at once right now... so Ken has helped a lot just alleviating as much stress as possible for me on the house. -- David "Scooter" Lukens O- dml6@po.cwru.edu KC8AGZ - Technician Home page: "http://www.insanityunlimited.com" ICQ#1670736 Lukens Technologies: "http://lt.geekindustries.com" online lego comic: http://grok.keenspace.com We don't understand the software, and sometimes we don't understand the hardware, but we can *see* the blinking lights.
